"Stay hungry, stay foolish"

Steve Jobs died. As I heard the news something within has died. Something that has been destructive to all the dynamics of "hope" and "will". Something that would knock me down every time I dare to dream. A generator of endless fears, self-doubt and discontent...an attack to the walls of the Will. An escape that has been built on excuses and a dictated sense of safety for years. A question that did not seek an answer, but a conclusion.

"Is it too late?"

Is it too late for some of us to dream? Is it too selfish to wanting to start over? What about the kids, the bills, the rent...What about people you love? Retirement?

How ironic is that we have everything we need when we are younger; the energy, the time, and the most tolerating era of one's lifetime. If we only knew what we wanted then, it could be much different now. Well, some of us did know what they wanted, but didn't have the means or the courage to follow it. Some of us were clueless, some of us did exactly know what they wanted and they went and got it.

This blog is for those who disowned their dreams and adopted somebody else's. To those who woke up one day with an unbearable and suffocating  heaviness in their chest.  To those who are awakened in one brief moment only to see life is a journey from the core to the surface, not the other way around.  Anything that traveled from the surface to the core is either a size bigger or smaller.

Is it too late to ....? When I heard the news Steve Jobs died, that question died...I remembered his "Stay hungry, stay foolish" speech at Stanford.  I realized I've been on too much junk food lately, silencing my hunger without nurturing my soul. I've been too "smart" lately to find excuses to why I should not follow my dreams.

"Late" rules only in linear time, at the distance between point A and point B.  Late is relevant for those who want to get there, to point B. Why not starting at point B and moving with the time -like riding on a flying rug-

We don't choose our dreams, they choose us.  The fear of failing is irrelevant, because our mission is not to succeed but follow the footsteps of the Higher Self.

Is it too late? Yes it is too late to abandon your dreams...

Rest in peace Steve Jobs and thank you for being you. If there is no heaven, you will invent one...
